1945-2021
Theodore Alton Pirie died peacefully October 4, 2021, on his 76th
birthday, at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Perth-Andover with his loving
wife, Dorine (Stiles) by his side. His death follows a lengthy and
painful battle with cancer from which he is now relieved.
Theodore was a proud, hardworking man with friends all over the
province. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten by so
many people. He maintained a successful career for over fifty years in
the forestry industry and was respected by all who knew him.
Theodore was the eldest son of the late Alton James Pirie and the late
Arline (Watson) Pirie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased
by his brother Kevin (Beatrice) and sisters-in-law Mona Madden
(Andrew) and Maxine Hannah (Dorine); and brother-in-law, Mark Malm
(Connie).
Theodore is survived by his wife Dorine and his only son Christopher
(Melody) Pirie of Shediac, NB, and his two grandsons, Gabriel and
Tyberius. He leaves behind three special family members, Shannon Royce
of North Carolina, Robert Suffron of Kentville, NS and Scott Suffron
of Vancouver. His is also survived by his sisters Connie (late Mark
Malm), Beverly (Bruce), Evelyn (Carl), Laurie (Gordon); and brothers
Cecil (Clara), David (Anne), Andrew (Christine), Philip (Beverly),
James Alan (Lori).
There is no visitation at the request of the deceased. A graveside
committal will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11 am at the
South Tilley Cemetery. Father Curtis Sappier officiating.
Donations in lieu of flowers to be made to the United Church South
Tilley Graveyard Fund.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
