The Reverend Lloyd Harold Ripley – 74, Truro, died
quietly on Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021, at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Head of Chezzetcook, Halifax
County, he was the son of the late Harold and Stella (Conrod)
Ripley.
Lloyd graduated from St. Mary’s University with a
B.A. and from Atlantic School of Theology with a Masters of Divinity.
He was ordained a Deacon of the Anglican Church of Nova Scotia and
P.E.I. in 1972 and Priest in 1973, serving the parishes of Rawdon,
Clements, Hackett’s Cove, Truro and Stewiacke with
Shubenacadie from where he retired.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Andrew, Halifax; daughter, Aran
(Michael) Kavanagh and their sons, Rian and Grady, Toronto; dear
friend, Sylvia Jeffery, Truro, her daughters, Kathryn, Mary Jane,
Sarah and Heather and their families.
Heartfelt thanks to family, friends and the many medical
personnel, especially staff of Palliative Care Unit and Dialysis Unit
of Colchester East Hants Health Centre and Dr. Trevor
Locke.
A service of thanksgiving and celebration to commemorate
Lloyd’s life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 11,
2021, at St. John’s Anglican Church, 25 Church Street,
Truro, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating.

welcomed. Interment in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Kaulback Street,
