Terry Ma, died on Sunday, November 21 in Ottawa with his wife, Lynn Kilabuk by his side. Terry was born on February 14, 1967 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and was the eighth of nine children.
Terry is survived by his wife Lynn Kilabuk, sons James Kilabuk, Shaun and Bobby Ma, his mother So Lon Wong and Sui Yin Ma (predeceased 1989); siblings Loyal (Davena), Peter (Meeka), Tina (Russell), Sandra, Angela (Craig), Melvin (Anne), Julie, Ken (Christy).
Terry graduated from NAIT with a marketing degree. Terry went to Iqaluit to help his brother Peter with some carpentry projects and meet his best friend and the love of his life, Lynn. He worked for …. And travelled throughout Nunavut. In 2012, the family moved to Ottawa to provide more opportunities for his children.
Terry enjoyed running, playing hockey, carpentry, mentoring youth and family and friend time. Terry was generous with his time and his skills. He enjoyed sharing his time with his family (travelling, planning carpentry and home renovation projects. A very devoted father who shared his wisdom and philosophy with his boys. Terry was a gentle and humble man.

  1. So saddened to learn of Terry’s passing 😞, just came across this Notice now (Mar 2024). Went to school with Terry in Rocky, same Grad class, ‘85. A good-natured guy, always smiling or laughing at his buddies, in the hallway of Rocky High. He got along with everyone and was a pleasure to know.

    Rest easy, Terry. Sincere condolences to his family.
