Ted Dunnett 2021

Edward Victor “Ted” Dunnett
Passed away at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the age of 95, predeceased by his loved wife Orma (June 5, 2007). Sadly missed and always remembered Father of Elaine (and her husband David Ferdinandi) and Paul. Dear Popa to grandkids Brett, Dayna, Collin, Ashley and Alexander, Popa Ted to great grandkids Fletcher, Cooper, Quinn, Grace, Asha and Avan.
Ted was born and raised in Cannington. He returned to Cannington after serving in the Canadian Army in WWII, and he and Orma were married Dec 6, 1947. Ted then joined the OPP and was proud of his career with postings in Haileybury, New Liskeard, Cayuga and Sharbot Lake. After retirement, in 1980, Ted and Orma returned to Cayuga, enjoying life with friends in their community. He was a member of Cayuga United Church and a life member of OPPVA Chapter 4 Niagara. In 2009, he moved to Anson Place Care Centre, in Hagersville. In 2019, after hip surgery, he moved to Cambridge Country Manor, in Cambridge, closer to Elaine.
As Ted wanted, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Hyde and Mott Chapel, Hagersville. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations should be made to The Hospital for Sick Children. Interment will take place in Cannington at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ted Dunnett 2021..
