Obituary of Sylvia Janice Grace Daniels
DANIELS, Sylvia: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Sylvia Janice Grace Daniels (nee Reichheld) on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, in her 85th year. Sylvia is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth (2015). Loved mother of Beverley A. Daniels, Kenneth A. Daniels (Kerri), and Bradley T. Daniels (Jackie). Proud grandmother of Jennifer Komar (Brian), Brandon Daniels (Melanie), Jordan Daniels (Brett), Riley Daniels (Sarah), Hayden and Deckard Daniels, and great grandmother of Olivia and Violet Daniels. Sylvia is survived by her sister Elga McLaughlin, and predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Hugh and sister Dorothy Cavanaugh. Sylvia was a pillar in the community, operating the MTO Licencing Issuing Office for 44 years and fondly known around town as the Licencing Lady. She loved bus tour travelling, playing cards, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. Many thanks to all those who helped her in her time of need. Their compassionate care was much appreciated. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday, October 25 from 5 – 8 p.m. with masks and social distancing required. Private funeral service on Tuesday, October 26 at Smithville United Church. If desired, memorial donations to Smithville United Church would be appreciated by the family.
