Obituary
Sylvia Ann Irene Ellis (nee Biro) passed away on February 16th, 2021 at 78 years of age. Sylvia Biro was born February 25th, 1942 in Welland, Ontario, to the late John and Anna Biro.
On May 13th, 1961 she married Robert Ellis and had four children. She is predeceased by her grandson Adam Ellis. She is survived by her children, Paul, Daniel (Claire Marie), Anna Marie (Gerry) Wilton, Jonathan (Trisha), and her brother Tom (Judy) Biro. Her grandchildren are Nathaneal (Jennifer), Zoë (Chris) Willick, Danielle, Samuel, Luke, Brandon, Launa and Ariana. She has two (and a half) great grandchildren. Her nieces are Tara (Scott) Gordon, Tiffany, Tenille (Joshua) McLean and Traeanna, and her nephew is Teagan (Monika).
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sylvia had been an active and well-loved member of a number of congregations in the Niagara region. As such, she faithfully held to a lifelong love of her Creator, and a deep respect for the Bible. She will be remembered for her warmth, cheerful smile and pleasant, easygoing demeanor. She was kind, patient and complimentary to family, friends and strangers alike. Sylvia was fond of simple pleasures…a big family dinner, going out for lunch, or a game of cards with good friends. She loved a trip to anywhere, grew beautiful geraniums, and baked a wonderful pie. As a gracious, generous and loving soul, Sylvia will be remembered fondly by all and will certainly be missed.
