Sybil Joyce Todd
1927-2021
After a lengthy life, Sybil Joyce Todd of Jemseg, passed away
at the Mill Cove Nursing Home on April 12th,
2021.
Joyce was born in Swansea, South Wales, U.K., on January
4th, 1927. The following year, along with her

immigrated to Canada to begin a new life.

one brother.
Joyce and Ronald Todd were married in 1947 and built a long
life together in their home in Jemseg.

her nieces and nephews. She followed all their accomplishments and
would say “Wouldn’t Dad be proud”.
Joyce was active in the community as a life member of the
Jemseg Women’s Institute and was a dispatcher of the Jemseg
Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
She is survived by her sisters, Pam Bearresto and Jacqueline
Straight (Allan), sister-in-law Evelyn Turner, and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents Emma and Bert Turner, she was
predeceased by her husband Ronald Todd, brothers Douglas and Malcolm,
and sisters Jean Maxan and Joan Fanjoy.
