Susan Elizabeth Carkner
March 15, 1957 – September 1, 2021
Susan Carkner of Chase, BC. passed away peacefully in the hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents, Russell and Elizabeth Carkner (Wallace).
Sue is survived by her siblings Larry(Jennifer) Carkner, MaryAnne (Rick) Archer and Nancy Hassler. Aunt to Stacy, Sarah, Mitchel, Matt, Beth, Chloe & Russell.
Interment will occur at Chase Cemetery at a later date.
Susan grew up in Kars, Ontario, & attended South Carleton High School in Richmond, Ontario. During her adult life she lived in Calgary, Mississauga, Toronto and Chase.
In her younger days, Sue loved playing all sports but had a real calling for competitive baseball and broomball. She was an avid sports fan and was especially proud of the Chase Minor Hockey.
She loved going to live plays and made sure to see Bruce Springsteen and Beb Seger concerts.
Sue was a strong, courageous, and gentle soul, who was devoted to her Mom in her later years.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
