Obituary of Stewart Fraser Scanlan
SCANLAN, Stewart Fraser -45, passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2021 in Dartmouth, NS. Stewart was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Jean (MacIssac) Scanlan. He is survived by his brothers, Joe (Rachelle), Edmonton; Susan (Jimmy) Macdonnell, Inverness; James (Debbie) Scanlan, Wolfville; Teddy (Karen) Scanlan, Pictou; David (Jill) Scanlan, Enfield; Verna (Donald) Heinsma. Besides his parents he was predeceased by Donna Fraser (Chester) and Bruce Scanlan. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, including his godchild, Peter Heinsma-Scanlan. Stewart was known to be someone who was kind to everyone, always putting a smile on people’s faces. He grew up outside of Pictou where he developed the love for fishing. Stewart was also someone who loved to build cars, go skidooing, four wheeling, or anything that had an engine. He also adored his loving dog Gizmo, whom he treated like a princess. Stewart will be missed dearly by his family, friends, neighbours, and fellow employees. May he always be remembered and never forgotten. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
