Obituary of Steve MacDougall
MacDOUGALL, Gary Stephen – Steve passed away after a short illness at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Cindy (Finley). Dear brother of Lauchie MacDougall. Brother-in-law of Vic Pellegrini, Lynn MacDougall, Bill Buckley, Pete Tollefsen, and Patti MacDougall. Predeceased by his parents James and Jessie; his siblings Mary Santavy (late Jerry), Elizabeth Luther (late Norm), Marcella Pellegrini, Paul MacDougall, Glen MacDougall, Anne Buckley, Jayne Tollefsen and Mike MacDougall. Steve was a devout catholic and was totally dedicated to his nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He leaves them with many “Uncle Steve” stories they can retell for years to come. Steve was always concerned for others and was a firm believer in donating blood and encouraging others to do so. At Steve’s request cremation has taken place. A private family burial service will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 519-344-3131. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Sarnia Organ Donor’s Awareness (SODA), 180 College Ave. N., Sarnia, N7T 7X2.
