Obituary of Sterling Penney
Passed peacefully but suddenly away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, March 14, 2021, Sterling Penney of Salmon Cove, age 71 years.
Predeceased by wife: Jeanette; parents: Moses and Ethel; brother: Henry (Daphne); sisters: Joan Fitzpatrick and Lucy Joan Penney.
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Kelly (John) Murphy, Carbonear and Lucy Penney (Andrew Mugford), Bay Roberts; one son: Sterling Jr. (Joanne Bishop), Salmon Cove; four grandchildren: Olivia, Chloe, Heather (Kyle), their son: Dominic, and Daniel; two brothers: Derrick (Vera), Salmon Cove and Willis (Christine Waterman), North River; brothers-in-law: Jim Fitzpatrick, Carbonear, Fred (Marilyn) Parsons, Victoria, Sandy (Dawn) Parsons, Harbour Grace, Dave (Margaret, deceased) Snow, Shearstown; sisters-in-law: Ella (Wayne) Marshall, Murley (Don) Gillespie, both of Carbonear, Emma (Jack), Ontario; special friend: Rosalind Pynn, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
A private committal service will take place on Thursday, March 18 at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery Fund, PO Box 9, Victoria, NL, A0A 4G0.
