Obituary for Stephen Roger Puffer
November 12, 1946 – March 7, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Stephen (Steve) Roger Puffer, aged 74, on March 7, 2021. Predeceased by his long-time partner Caryne Millard, his mother Violet, father Don and sister Donna. He is survived and greatly missed by his two sons, Steve Puffer Jr. and his wife Shannon, Darren Puffer and his partner Richard, his 3 grandchildren, Aidan, Mckenna and Joshua, sister Bonnie, brother Chuck and 8 nieces and nephews.
Steve was born on November 12, 1946. He spent his early years growing up in New Westminster and moved to Penticton in 1970 with his wife Kathy and their two young sons. He moved back to the coast in 1984, eventually settling in Maple Ridge and Mission where he lived for the past 30 years.
All those who knew Steve will remember his sense of humour, infectious laugh and love of good company. He was an avid fisherman, working many years off and on at various fishing lodges around BC. He was a plumber/contractor by trade and was also a home inspector later on in life.
He and Caryne spent many years travelling to their happy place, San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, where they would often stay for long durations. He was also a talented painter and loved to play his guitar.
We love you and miss you Dad. May you find the sun and great fishing on your new journey.
Memorial Donations
Steve loved his many cats over the years, so in lieu of cards and flowers, donations would be warmly welcomed at Katie’s Place Animal Shelter in Maple Ridge, BC:
