1953-2021
Stephen Patrick Barry – age 67, of Yarmouth, passed
away, surrounded by his children, on Friday, January 8, 2021 in the
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Laval, QC, he was a son
of the late, Patrick Barry and Pierette (St. Jacques). Stephen served
in the Royal Canadian Military before moving on to the Commissionaires
and later as a truck driver for Ben’s. He was involved in
the Foster Parents Association in Ottawa for many years before moving
to Nova Scotia to be closer to his family in 2000. He was known for
his love of the Montreal Canadians. He is survived by his
fiancée, Marilyn Crosby-Loveland, Yarmouth; son, Stephen J.
(Shelley) Barry, Kentville; daughter, Tina Baldwin (Roger), Cape
Breton; stepdaughter, Tina Maxwell, Ottawa; grandchildren, Maggie,
Ben, Spencer and Karo; sister, Linda Barry (Michael), Laval, QC;
brothers, Tom Barry (Audette), Gatineau, QC; Allan Barry (Francine),
Laval, QC; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was
predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Barry and sister-in-law, Lucy Lacombe.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, a graveside
service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
