1947-2021
At her residence, September 8, 2021, Mrs. Stella McLaughlin
of California Settlement passed away at the age of 73 years.
She was the wife of Dale McLaughlin. Born at Grand Falls in
1947, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Alma (Sullivan)
McCarthy.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dale, three sons,
Ivan (Tracy), Blair (Andréia) and Mark (Lesley),
grandchildren, Aurianna, Keira, Shea, Eavan, Isaac and Lilly, two
sisters, Catherine (Fred) Dattolo of Fruitvale, BC and Norma McCarthy
(Mark Rickard) of Kilburn, nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her parents and a sister, Linda Rae.
Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd.,
Grand Falls with visiting hours on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, Stella will be resting at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic
Church, Perth-Andover from noon until 2 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September
11th at 2 p.m. from St. Mary of the Angels Church with Father Curtis
Sappier officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s
Cemetery, Grand Falls Portage.
For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated by the family.
