September 27, 1931 – October 10, 2021
Peacefully passed away at home, just days after celebrating his 90th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Smith (2004) of 54 years. Loving father of Nancy Fletcher (Tim), Lynne Schomburg (late Randy), Sheila Price (Jim Carter), and Bruce Smith. Cherished grandfather to nine (one deceased). Adored great-grandfather, GG to 17 great-grandchildren. Loving companion of Cynthia Knight. Predeceased by brother, Bill Smith (Peggy). Don was a longtime employee of the Public Utilities Commission for over 48 years affectionately known as “Smitty”. He formed many close friendships with co-workers and took pride in his role as a lineman. Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., where a private family funeral service will follow. Registration will be required to attend the visitation.
