It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Ray Smalley. Ray passed away peacefully and will be greatly missed by his children: Jennifer (Kevin), granddaughters Megan (Max), Alex and Katie; his son Trevor, grandson Taylor (Abby) and granddaughter Tylynn; his wife Janet and his daughter-in-law Tammy. Feeling Ray’s loss are his brothers Michael (Jessie), Peter (Donna), Charles (Brenda), Chris (Karen) and sister Mary (Larry); many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. He will be missed by his fur companion Chewy.
Ray was born May 30, 1947 to Herbert and Irene Smalley in Bath, Carlton County, NB. Ray spent his childhood and teen years in Florenceville, NB. Upon graduation from high school, Ray hopped a train and headed west, destination Aunt Maddy and Uncle Don’s home in Viking, AB. Ray loved to play the guitar and spent much time playing songs for his children. He loved to travel and travelled to Bahamas, Barbados, Hawaii, China, Australia and England as well as many states up and down the west and east coasts of the USA. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. These last years he so enjoyed following Mr T (Taylor) in his soccer journey and Missy T (Tylynn) in her soccer, basketball and volleyball journeys and the many backyard BBQ’s with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
