Simone Alvina McAuliffe
April 29, 1942 ~ October 30, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of
Simone on Saturday October 30, 2021, at the age of 79. Simone passed
away after battling with many health issues, at her residence in Espanola.
Dear daughter of the late Ned and Aldoria LeBlanc (nee Gauthier).
Beloved wife of Bill (William) McAuliffe of Espanola. Loving mother of
Michael McAuliffe (Jane) of Espanola, Shawn McAuliffe (Patti) of
Whitefish, Kevin McAuliffe (Melanie) of Naughton, Ian McAuliffe (Michele)
of Belleville and Kelly Laderoute (David) of Espanola. Cherished
grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Loving sister
of Yvonne (husband Edgar) both predeceased, Henry (wife Sheila) both
predeceased, Moise predeceased (wife Shirley of Lively), Rita (husband
Gabe) both predeceased, Gerry (wife Ellen) of Evansville, Pauline
predeceased, Anita (husband Borden) of Whitefish and Armeline of
Windsor (husband Alonzo predeceased). Simone was a special and
dedicated aunt to her niece Helen predeceased. She will be sadly missed
by many nieces and nephews. Simone was a faithful woman who loved
the Lord, her family, church, and community. Simone served as a member
of the CWL at St. Christopher’s Parish in Whitefish for many years before
moving to Espanola. She was a dedicated member of the St. Jude parish
in Espanola. Simone made a family home in Beaver Lake with her husband
and best friend Bill for 39 years before they moved to Espanola. Simone
loved spending her summers on Manitoulin Island at Obejewung Park for
the last 55 years making many lasting memories with family and friends. Visitation on November 2, 2021 in the Bourcier Funeral Home from 7-9 PM
A Funeral service will be held on November 3, 2021 in St. Jude Parish at
10 AM. Cremation to follow and Interment at the Whitefish Cemetery
