DICKERT, Simon James Edgar – Peacefully and surrounded by his family at home on Friday, December 24, 2021 at the age of seven years. Cherished son of Samantha Dickert and Tyler Edgar. Beloved big brother of Sadie, Sean and Emily, all of Mount Forest. Loving grandson of Lorri Dickert of Mount Forest, Dwayne Dickert of Ayton, and great-grandson of Don and Bea Smith of Mount Forest. Adored nephew of George (Brittany) Dickert of Ayton, Kayla Edgar, Jana Edgar, both of Mount Forest, and Darrell Edgar (Sam) of Alberta. Simon is lovingly remembered by his many great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandmother Tanji Edgar along with numerous great-grandparents.
Simon fought a brave battle with brain cancer for the past four years. His strength, contagious smile, positive attitude, and loving spirit will carry on in the lives of his family. He touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered.
The family would like to thank the Mount Forest and surrounding communities for their incredible support.
Private funeral arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Simon are asked to consider Childhood Cancer Canada or the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation – Hematology and Oncology.
