Passed peacefully on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Shirley R. Murley, age 89.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Bill (Darlene Grams) and Jeff (Patsy); daughter, Sandra (David Miller); grandchildren, Raelyn (Jordan Pike), William, and Lauryn; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband, William; daughter-in-law, Ce-Ann; parents, Martha & Stanley Rideout; and stepfather, Earl Fizzard.
In Shirley’s memory donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on Tuesday, December 28th at 2pm. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the family have decided to have a private service. Those that have been invited to attend will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.
