1931-2021
Peacefully at home on Saturday June 19 with her family by her
side. Shirley Beatrice Lindhorst of Cambridge (Galt), in her
91st year.
Predeceased by her husband David (2012), son in law Jayson
Heller (2019) and grandson Drew Pinchin (1998).
Loving mother of Scott (Pam) Lindhorst of Waterloo, Dianne
(Carl) Clemens and Laurie Heller all of Cambridge.
Grandmother of Joel Lindhorst, Jenna (Jesse) Bender, Devin Lahey
(Abbie), Bryce Lahey (Rianna), Nick Heller and Maddie Heller. Sister
to Albert Barker, and aunt to Amy (Mike) Urban and Edward Barker along
with many nieces and nephews.
Shirley worked at Gore Mutual Insurance prior to raising her
family and at Reid’s candy.
She was a tireless volunteer for many years with Galt Minor
Hockey and with Lincoln Avenue and Cedarhill United Churches. She
loved knitting, most recently teddies for tragedies and poppies for
the legion campaign.
She had a lifelong friendship with Betty Davis and Chris
Krull. She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held at Corbett Funeral Homes
on Tuesday June 22. Interment in Mountview Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, Shirley would like you to reach
out to a home bound person or perform a random act of kindness in her
memory.
