Shirley Ann Maude (Geil) Howes of Harriston passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in her 94th year.
Shirley was the loving wife of the late David Howes.
Mother of Rosanne Caron (Adir Gupta), Paul Howes (Linda Saur), and James Howes.
Grandmother of David Caron (Janice Chan), Austin Howes and Benjamin Howes.
Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Lois Geil and Betty Howes.
Predeceased by her sons Philip Howes, and Norman Howes and wife Ann Tangney-Howes, brothers Ralph Geil and Emerson Geil, her sisters Mildred Caldwell and husband George, and Doris Zurbrigg and husband Frank, and by her brothers-in-law John Howes, and Cyril Hassan, and by her sister-in-law Janet Hassan.
Shirley’s life revolved around her family and music. As a music teacher, church organist and choir director she inspired and motivated many people.
A private funeral service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Kathy Morden officiating. The service will be live-streamed for family and friends..
