Shirley Rose Ermatinger (nee Kewayosh), a member of Walpole Island First Nation, ascended into the spirit world on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the age of 80. Her husband Patrick Kenneth Markham Ermatinger Sr. died on August 11, 2012. Sister to the late Helen Casella, Edmond Gilbert Jr., the late Frank Gilbert, Jennie Blackbird, the late Agnes Garcia, Helena Taylor, George Gilbert, Monnie Gilbert, the late Joseph Gilbert and the late Larry Gilbert. Loving mother to Patricia (Daryle) Dodge, the late Patrick Kenneth Markham Ermatinger Jr., the late Paul Curtis Ermatinger, Christopher Ermatinger, Karen (Patrick) Taylor, Brian Ermatinger, Michael Ermatinger, Patrick Ermatinger Jr., Russel Ermatinger and Amanda Ermatinger. Grandmother to Jennifer, Chantelle, Melanie, Yolande, Tabatha, Neebin, Colette, Daniel, Chad, Timothy, Joshua, Corbin, Alani, Noah, Dakota, Luke, Ian, Ethan, Paul, Kiara, Layla and Great Grandmother to Taryn, Amana, Maezy, Crosby, Ayana, Ezra, Loki, Kellen, Callahan, Aries, Aria, Hailie, Lincoln, Apollo and Kasai. Community Visitation will be held at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 2-5pm and on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 2-6pm. Private Family services will be held at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre on Thursday, January 28, 2021 with burial at Highbanks Cemetery.
