It’s with heavy hearts the Family announce the passing of Shirley Corkum “Atkinson” on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in her 73rd year. Peacefully at her home in Acton Ont. Surrounded by her Children and lifelong companion Jody Sheppard of Acton. Sons Terry Corkum of Oakville, Keith Corkum of Milton, Doug Cudney of Acton, Mike Cudney and Daughter-in-law Sarah Hiller of Milton and her only Daughter Michelle Johnstone and son-in-law Matthew of Rockwood. She will be missed by her Sister Joy and brother-in-law Don Ziegler of B.C. She will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren Tre, Faith, Desiree, Mya and Jayden. She fought a long hard Battle with COPD and lung cancer. You will forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again. We will always love you.
We would also like to send a big Thank you to her care givers Jennifer Bast and Sue Edwards for taking great care of her and for being by her side until the very end, and everyone else who had a part in making her feel comfortable and safe!
A private Family Funeral Service will be held, interment at Fairview Cemetery, in Acton, to follow.
