1942-2021
Sheldon Bruce Steeves of Riverview, NB passed away peacefully
at Albert House Hospice in Moncton, NB on Friday, November 26, 2021.
Sheldon was born in Edgetts Landing, NB on July 23, 1942; he
was the son of the late Bruce H. and Norah (Smith)
Steeves.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lois; his
sister Joan Gregory; stepson Marshall Jardine (Deborah); as well as
several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and
nephews. In addition to his parents, Sheldon was predeceased
by two brothers Raymond and Boyd; a sister Laurie, and a stepson Kevin
Jardine.
Sheldon’s career took him from Eatons to Atlantic
Provinces Transportation Commission to Brunswick Fyr Co. He
was also a volunteer firefighter in Riverview for 20 years. He
attended Bethel Presbyterian Church. Sheldon loved golfing, playing
darts, and taking motorhome trips with Lois.
The family sincerely thanks the Extra Mural nurses Shelley
and Debbie and also Dr. Jean Rene Brideau, Georges Dumont Hospital
Heart Failure Clinic, and Albert House Hospice for their excellent
care and support to all family members – we are so grateful.
In keeping with the family’s wishes,
there will be no visitation or memorial service.
Cremation has taken place at Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center 330 Whitepine Road in Riverview, NB (869-2007).
In lieu of flowers, and
in Sheldon’s memory, donations may be made to Albert House
Hospice in Moncton or a memorial of the donor’s
choice.
