Sharon Geraldine Ferris Johnson Thursday June 24th 2021

FERRIS, Sharon Geraldine nee Johnson
Passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, June 24th 2021 at the age of 78. Sharon will be deeply missed by her devoted son Tim (Morgan) and cherished granddaughter Avery. Sharon will also be missed by former husband and great friend David Ferris. Sharon is predeceased by her siblings Mildred (Walt) Reed, Jack (Mona) Johnson, and Hilda (Nils) Carlson.
Sharon loved spoiling her pets, attending Tiger-Cat games and socializing with friends and family. She was known as a caring, selfless person who liked to laugh. An athlete at Delta High School, she maintained a lifelong love of sports, whether watching all the local professional teams, never missing a chance to cheer on her son at all of his games or playing softball, badminton and recently pickleball. Sharon loved to travel and always insisted on having a sporty car (driving a stick shift up until May 2021).
Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME – Guelph Line (one stop light north of the QEW) on Tuesday, June 29th 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00. Funeral Service to be held Wednesday, June 30th 2021 at 1:00. Burial at Glen Oaks Cemetery to follow. Due to covid restrictions, only a limited number of people are able to attend, please RSVP through Smith’s website (www.smithsfh.com) or by calling the funeral home between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
