It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Beverley Mary Greer our beloved mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Sharon was born on May 13, 1944 in Ceylon, SK. Sharon is survived by her daughters Alana Shearer-Kleefeld (Darryl), Tara Brittin (Jeremy), and Rana Nixon (Doug); her grandchildren Trista (Katrina), Keenan, Olivia, and Charlie; many nieces and nephews for whom she was the favourite aunt; and friends far and wide too numerous to count.
Sharon was predeceased by her infant son Allen, her parents Ted and Irma Greer, and her brothers and sisters.
Sharon’s life was a continuous adventure. She filled every room with stories, laugher and fun. Constantly on the go, she never missed any occasion or event. She always had a little gift for you when she arrived. We knew that the best gift was just having her there.
In the last 15 years of her career, Sharon worked in the Children’s Program at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Regina, SK. She personally knew and loved each child. As such, Kinsmen Telemiracle was very close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request a donation to Telemiracle in Sharon’s honor.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all of the physicians, nurses, and healthcare workers who provided Sharon with the most loving and compassionate care. Sharon prayed for you each night.
A Private Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, Regina, SK. You can access the funeral service via livestream from the Blessed Sacrament website (blessedsacramentregina.ca). Sharon will be laid to rest in Ceylon Cemetery, Ceylon, SK. The blessing of Sharon’s grave will be held at a later time when it is safe for us to gather in person once again. We thank you for surrounding our family with your love and support throughout this journey.
