Obituary for Shannon Lyn Klatt
Shannon Lyn Klatt born March 7,1983 passed peacefully in her home in Oshawa, on April 4, 2021 at the age of 38 after a year long battle against cancer.
Shannon was known for her kind and thoughtful spirit – she was always thinking of others and would go to great lengths to see a smile on someone’s face. She loved going on trail walks and forest adventures, camping and geocaching with her children and nephews. She enjoyed kayaking out to her favourite swim spot, fishing and exploring nature at her parents home in the country.
Shannon is survived by her children Kendal-lynn and Alexander, her mother Kris, stepfather Julian, Sisters Lacey and Kerrigan, nephews Mason and Lochlan, niece Eleanor, and God Mother Denyse. She is predeceased by Grandmother U.Lyn, Great grandparents Eugene and Bernice, and Great Uncle Richard. She will be missed dearly by her friends and coworkers and extended family.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff in the Lakeridge health Network.
Due to COVID19 restrictions, only a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name or to the fundraiser set up for her children’s education.
