Shane Christopher Bond 1975 2021

BOND, Shane Christopher –
Age 46, Canso. It is with broken hearts that we
announce the passing of Shane on Friday, November 5, 2021. Born on
October 5, 1975, he was the son of Howard and Velma (King)
Bond.
Shane was a carpenter by trade but worked many jobs, in most
recent years with Parker Kaefer, AECON Pictou Shipyards, Day and Ross.
Shane was born with a love for hockey and hunting, which he loved to
do with his brother Dale. Shane enjoyed trout fishing with his father
Howard. Shane was happiest when spending time with his two sons. Shane
held many certificates and was skilled in many areas. Shane was an
amazing father, son, brother and he will be forever loved and missed
by his family.
Shane is survived by his sons, Aidan, Canso; Noah,
Guysborough; sisters, Shawna (Richard) McDonald, Dartmouth; Paula
(Christina), Dartmouth; brothers, Dale (Jade), New Glasgow; Ben
(Shelby), Canso; niece and goddaughter, Madison; nephews, Dominic,
Zaxton, Connor and Jeremy his godson; several aunts, uncles and many
cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Edward and Pearl Bond,
Placide and Eileen King; aunts, Rosie Parker and Kathy Newell; uncles,
Bud Newell, Mike Newell and Reggie Munroe.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in Dennis
Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m.
Saturday from Canso United Baptist Church, Canso with Rev. David
Wheeler officiating. Please note to attend visitation
and funeral you will need proof of double vaccines and face masks are
also required to attend both.
Memorial donations in Shane’s memory may be made to
the I.W.K. Foundation. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family
