Obituary of Sandra Parker
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Kim Parker, a resident of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on May 10, 2021 at 61 years of age. She was born in Montreal, Quebec to Douglas and Doreen Howes on December 28, 1959 and was the second of four children.
Sandra was like a mother to everyone, taking care of people she knew, especially making sure they were well fed. She loved to laugh and give people a hard time. Sandra was obsessed with checking the weather apps to inform people when bad weather was on the way.
Sandra adored her grandbabies and loved when they would stay for sleepovers, giving her a chance to French braid Stella’s hair. Sandra also loved to play golf and volleyball, Yahtzee with Debbie, bingo, darts, gambling, and shopping.
Sandra worked for Conuma Coal and Quintette Coal in Tumbler Ridge, and for a time was a bartender at the Old Cabaret and in Pine Point.
She was predeceased her late husband Duncan, and father Doug. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dave; daughters Krista and Kim; step-daughter Stacey; grandchildren Stella, Nova, Braelyn, and Everick; mother Doreen; father-in-law Paul Furlotte; sisters Debbie and Liz; brother Rob; and mother-in-law Opal.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Sandra to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite #200-885 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver BC, V6C 1N5.
