Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sandra Lee (McFarland) Wylie which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 5th, 2021. Born 1957, in Calhoun, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Muriel (Hazelton) McFarland. Sandra worked as a Medical Secretary for St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years. She enjoyed camping at her trailer with her grandchildren. She adored her cats Chuckie, Lily and Juicy and her dog Spanky. Sandra was a very hard working and dedicated mother. She was very devoted to her family and made sure that they had everything they needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband Charles of 38 years; sons Jason Wylie (Carla) of Quispamsis, Aaron Wylie of Halifax, NS, Bradley Wylie (Michelle) of Quispamsis; brothers William McFarland (Lisa) of Saint John, Ralph McFarland (Lucy) of Moncton; sisters Judy Dignard (Tim) of Moncton, Lorna Gorber of Moncton, Karen Gagnon (Peter) of Riverview, Marion Cormier (Paul) of Riverview; grandchildren Brady (Rebekah) Jaden, Kayla and Sapphire; great grandchildren Noah and Alaina; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her son Charles “Chuckie” Timothy and brother-in-law Sam Gorber.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, The Veteran’s Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
