Samuel George Hudson
September 14, 1997 – December 16, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Samuel George Hudson announce his passing on December 16, 2021, at the age of 24 years.
Predeceased by his grandparents: Stella and David Fowler, and Mary Keefe Pike; uncles: Napoleon (Poley) Hudson and Thomas O’Dell; and aunts: Elsie Payne and Alice Fowler.
Leaving to mourn are his parents, George and Bertha Hudson, his brother, Allan Hudson, and a large circle of family and friends.
To those who were privileged to know Sam, these words are already etched in your memory. Sam was a gentle soul, pure of heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. He exuded kindness and generosity. He was a firm believer in not judging others and even in times of self – doubt, he would always take the time to help others, by listening and supporting them. He also spoke his mind, leaving you with no doubt as to what he was thinking.
His intellect (Honors) was only rivaled by his beautiful smile, which could light up a room. He was an avid outdoorsman and whether it was fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, ATVing or boating, Sam was happiest during those times.
Sam will leave a void which can never be filled, but also leaves beautiful memories and a desire in each of us to make the world a better place, by listening and taking care of each other.
We make this solemn promise to you, Sam, that we will share your story, so that others may benefit from your courage and determination. You now have your wings, to fly free from the worries of this world. May the angels protect you as you watch over us, until it is time to guide us safely home, to be with you once again.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay on Sunday, December 19th from 2 p.m – 4 p.m and 7 p.m – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church in Torbay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Newfoundland and Labrador Division or the SPCA.

Sam did nothing but love, he was a great guy that only wanted to help, his loss will be felt alot more than 99/100 people because he was that 1/100 im sorry for your loss sam was an amazing person ive cried more lately than i have in years and i personally had a heart attack and almost passed 2 years ago this hit me harder, im sorry for your loss.
