Samuel was born in Huntsville, Ontario and moved to Crossfield, AB, in May of 2013. He passed away peacefully at the Didsbury Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Sam was a loving husband to Margaret of 56 years; father to Don (Maria), Yvonne (Jerry), and Rhonda (Glenn); grandfather to Brandy, Joshua (Cassie), Justin, Krystal (Will), and Danielle (Matt); great-grandfather to Ezra, Mia, Ava, Kayden, Olivia, Evan, Neave & Denva; loving son of Evalyn Perrier of Crossfield; sister, Carole of Huntsville, ON; brother, Jim (Susan) of Huntsville, ON; brother, Myrrl (Nancy) Broadbent of Crossfield, AB and Anna Mary Broadbent of Huntsville, ON; brother-in-law, Abby of Huntsville, ON; stepbrother to Mary, Paulette, Roberta, Lorette and Marcel; as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews. Samuel was predeceased by his father, Fred Broadbent; stepfather; Orville Perrier; sisters, Debbie (Bob Oke) and Violet; and brothers, and Doug.
Sam was a very hard-working man who loved his family and friends with all his heart. He looked forward to his annual Hunting and Fishing trips with his son Don and his cousin Ken in Longlac. As well as his love of working on his hobby farm and being able to spend time in his sugar bush, he also had a passion for gardening.
