Ruth Louise Hunder
January 27, 1943 – December 10, 2021
It is with sorrow and sadness that the family of Ruth Hunder announce her passing in Red Deer, Alberta, at the age of 78 years.
Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are her husband of 56 years, Jim Hunder; her children, Joe (Karen) and Lenora (Randy); her grandchildren, Kara, Hayley, Kaitlyn, Allison and Brayden and her great grandchildren, Colbie, Waylon and Ashton.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Emma Nagel as well as her brothers, Henry, Stan and Johnny.
Ruth’s love for the outdoors and the time she spent with family camping and fishing, are treasured moments. Ruth had such a passion for her flower beds and gardening and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends floor-curling or playing cards. She loved spending time at the Golden Age Club in Breton, Alberta, with her good friends. Ruth worked with her heart and her hands in her crafts, especially her crocheting, knitting and chocolate chip cookies, but the greatest work of her hands is her family. Ruth will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will take place on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 1:00 pm, at the Breton Community Centre, 48 Street, Breton, Alberta.
In keeping with the Alberta Government protocols to host a funeral service larger than 50 attendees, the REP program will be in effect. This requires that those attending must show proof of double vaccination or proof of a negative result from a rapid test administered within 72 hours prior to this service.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Spring.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the wonderful and caring ICU Nursing Staff at Red Deer Hospital.
