Obituary of Ruth Goodall
Goodall, Ruth “Carolyn” (née Kopec) April 6, 1923 – August 2, 2021
Ruth “Carolyn” Goodall (née Kopec), 98, of Gananoque, Ontario (formerly of Milton, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Providence Care Center, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Carolyn was born in Paget, Bermuda. She attended Warwick Academy, served in WWII with the American Red Cross in New York and Boston and later joined Colonial Airlines. While working for Colonial Airlines Carolyn met and married her now deceased husband Edward “Eddie” Major Goodall and moved to Ontario, Canada. They started their married life in a lovely cottage in Clarkson, ON and eventually moved to their forever home in Milton, Ontario. Carolyn worked for the Hands Fireworks company and spent many years writing columns for her local newspaper. Carolyn had a passion for art, gardening, and travel. As a proud member of the Royal Ontario Museum of Art she often regaled her family with tales of her travels and the wonders she encountered, bringing home a small souvenir from a local artisan which she treasured and fondly displayed. Carolyn had a strong passion for her roots in Bermuda and visited on many occasions with her husband Eddie. Carolyn had a wonderful Life. Chapter closed, but always remembered. Carolyn will be dearly missed by her brother Joseph Kopec of Kirkland, QC; sister in-law Marion Drysdale of London, Ontario. Also survived by her nieces Cecilia Thompson and Annette Kopec Brawley, Karen Schroeder and nephew David Kopec and families. Predeceased by 1 brother David Kopec and 1 sister in law Aurelie Kopec.
