Obituary for
Ruth Black
Ruth Eileen Black (nee Wallace), b. March 3, 1926 (Sandy Cove, NS), d. March 6, 2021 (Long Sault, ON).
It is with deep sadness that our family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and grandmother, on Saturday March 6, 2021 in her 96th year. Ruth leaves behind her children Gerald (Holly), Glenn (Lynn) and Sharon (Dwayne), and granddaughters Kelsey (Jeremy) and Sarah (Shane), and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Percy Black, sisters Mary Harris and Eleanor Zinck, brother Donald Wallace, and parents Helen and George Wallace. No visitation by request. A memorial service to be held later in the year, circumstances permitting, in Mille Isles, QC. For those wishing, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society.
