Mrs. Ruth Smith
At Meadow Park Long Term Care, Chatham, on June 27th, Ruth Smith, in her 99th year. Cherished daughter of the late Cecil and Frances (Grogan) Best. Loved sister of the late Elmer (1994) and his wife Jean (1983) Best. Beloved wife of the late Harold Smith (2015). Loving mother of Jim and his wife Eileen, Doug and his wife Colleen, Robert and his wife Debbie, and the late David (2019) and his wife Deborah. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Lynn (Charlie), Clayton (Teodora), Grant (Miranda), Meredith (D.J.), Nathan, Nicholas (Natalie) and Logan; great-grandchildren Taylor, Tessa, Killian, Cassius, Nyah, Annabelle, Miles, Sophia, and Lillian; great-great-grandchild Artchar. She will also be greatly missed by nephews George, John and Richard Best and niece Rosemary Best. Thank you to Dr. Biondi and the staff of Meadow Park Long Term Care for many years of wonderful care, kindness, and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710.
