Myer, Ruth Shirley, 91 of Yarmouth, Formerly of Westville, Pictou County, passed away, February 21,2021 in the Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (Morgan) Killam. Ruth worked for 43 years at Maritime Tel & Tel and continued with Bell Aliant until her retirement. She was a life long Legion member, was a lover of all animals especially owls, which she had too many to count. Ruth was a Toronto Blue Jays super fan. She enjoyed playing cards, darts, bowling and doing puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Muise; son, Ronald Roach; sister, Paula Muise; grandchildren, Sean Mahoney; Krista Deveau; Shirley Deveau; Daniel Muise; and 7 great grandchildren. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Deveau. Funeral service will be, Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2 pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. A.D Bill Newell officiating. Interment to follow in Chegoggin Cemetery. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or the local Legion in your area. The family wish to thank the staff of The Meadows Home for Special Care for their care and dedication to Ruth during her stay with them.
