Ruth Kidd Woodland 2021

Kidd, Ruth (Woodland)
Formerly of Mono and Melancthon townships, passed away peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on February 12,2021, at the age of 97. Finally at rest, she joins her beloved husband of 60 years, Stanley James Kidd who passed away in 2004. Much loved mother of Bruce (2018; Bev), Linda Meek (Alan), Donna Chappell, Randy (Sheila) and Terry (Theresa). Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Tracy, Lori, Andrea, Jeremy, Krista, Matt, Shane, Josh, Caity, Amanda and Janelle and great grandmother of 19. Loved sister of Lily Nelson and sister-in-law of Betty French. Predeceased by siblings Bruce Woodland, Jim Woodland and Mary Turnbull.
Mom will be remembered for her unconditional love and support for her family and friends, her unwavering faith, her volunteer work, her sense of humour, her enjoyment of card games and shuffleboard and her famous butter tarts.
Our family wishes to thank the caring staff of Shelburne Residence Retirement Home and Avalon Care Centre in Orangeville for their kind and compassionate care and support over the past seven years.
Because of current conditions and restrictions there will be no public visitation. There will be a private family service for immediate family only.
Arrangements are entrusted to Jack and Thompson Funeral Home, 318 Main Street East, Shelburne (519-925-2830).
If you wish to make a donation in remembrance of Ruth, she requested that it be made to Trinity United Church in Shelburne. Donations and condolences may be placed at www. jackandthompsonfuneralhome.com.
