Russell Alvin Patton – 95, Bible Hill. With heavy
hearts, love and treasured memories, the family of Russell Alvin
Patton announce his passing on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Born in
Greenfield, Colchester County, he was a son of the late Harry and
Rosalie (MacKenzie) Patton.
Dad worked hard for most of his life, beginning as a boy, on
the family farm. He helped with the county mail run as a teen and
hauled gravel for the highway. With his siblings, he developed a
strong work ethic and basic business sense which served him well as an
adult, operating Patton’s Wood and Patton’s Fuel
Service. His most notable business success was a 70-year long
development and operation of residential apartments, known as Patino
Enterprises Limited. In 1996, BD Stevens received the North American
Tilt-Up Achievement Award for outstanding use of concrete construction
in the building of his apartment building at 486 Robie
Street.
Honesty and compassion were virtues characterizing his
business decisions and his lifelong support of churches and Christian
organizations, along with his initial and on-going support of Archway
Counselling Association and Slate Youth Centre. Dad always served
family and others ahead of himself.
Russell is survived by his daughters, Audrey (Earle) Fisher,
Jo-Anne (Greg) Williams; sons, Norman (Heather), Stephen (Heather),
Greg (Tanya); grandchildren, Neil (Moira), Nevin (Laura), Jeannie,
James (Lisa), Crescent (Ryan), Amanda (Shayne), Brendan (Angharad),

Magnus, Emmalyn, Peyton, Reade, Cameron, Max, Jack, Kalen and Kole;
