Passed away on December 14, 2021, in his 95th year.
Born December 23, 1926, Normandy Township, R.R.#4, Mount Forest, Ontario.
Loved Father of Ruthann McCreadie, Carolyn (Stephen) Wiles, Patricia Graf, all of Waterloo, and Jim (Valerie) of Sauble Falls. Loving Grandpa to Tammie (Frank) Wong, Christa McCreadie, Sheri (Tim) Follett, Scott McCreadie, Heather Cote, Laurie (Trevor) Shaw, Jonathan Sapay, Kristopher Sapay, Heidi Ritchie and Amanda (James) Spaetzel. Loving Great-Grandpa to Madeline and Rachel Wong, Emma and Isabelle Cote, Logan Smith, Claire Shaw, Leeland Sapay and Charlotte Ritchie. Survived by sister Vera Ward, sister-in-law Susan Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 73 years Ruth Denef Weber on November 16, 2021, parents William and Lorena (Hertzberger) Weber, son-in-law Reg Graf, brothers Lorne (Lila), Erwin (Luella), and Leonard (Betty), sister Betty (Joe), brothers-in-law Lloyd Ward, and Fred Moore, sisters-in-law Nadine (Don) Dahmer, Pamela (Rod) Avis, nieces Doris Weber, Judy Dineen and nephews George Thompson, Doug Weber, Terry Dahmer and Jamie Dahmer.
Roy was born on a farm in Normandy Township. He was employed for many years in sales positions with various companies, including Wear Ever Aluminum Cookware, Singer, Neckie Bernero, and Pfaff Sewing Machines in Hanover, Orillia, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines. His last 26 years of employment were spent in the Waterloo area as a dealer for Hanover Kitchens Canada Inc.
Visitation will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John Street West, Waterloo, on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kuhl officiating.
