Hartman, Roy Noah:
Passed away at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Site on November 2, 2021 at the age of 85.
Dearly loved husband of 59 years to Marie (nee Blaskavitch), loving father to Anne Quennville (Dean), Kathy Periera (Darrell Acreman) and Steve Hartman. Cherished Papa to Nicole, Jen, Allison, Alicia, Noah and Seth and Grand Papa to Ivy. Roy will be missed by his sisters Ruth, Bernice (Don) and Gloria, and by his brother David.
He loved his family and his community, dedicating much time to both. Roy was a former Captain of Kitchener Fire Department, he also acted as President of the Kitchener Association of Firefighters. He was once President of Horseshoe Ontario, was on the Executive of the Khaki Club and received his Highest Degree with the Moose Lodge of which he and Marie were members of for 25 years. Roy was an avid sports fan. He was partial to the Toronto Blue Jays, and a stubborn supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Private cremation has taken place under the direction of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
