It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather Roy Lewis Wimbleton of Baie Verte, NL at the age of 81 years. Roy was promoted to glory from the ICU, Health Science Centre, St. John’s, NL on Sunday afternoon November 21, 2021.
Predeceased by his parents – Thomas and Doris Wimbleton; sister – Annie Budgell; parents-in-law- William and Lucy Ward; siblings-in-law – Ruby King (Cyril), Claude Ward (Lorraine), Sidney Ward, James Ward, Eileen Ward, Wilbert Colbourne, Delano Fowler and Viola Ward.
Left to forever cherish their lifetime of memories are his wife of 56 years Eleanor (nee Ward); children – Gina Winsor (Ronald), St. John’s. NL., Lisa Butt (Gordon), La Scie, NL., Eddie Wimbleton (Jennifer), Baie Verte, NL. His grandchildren whom he adored – Brandon Wimbleton (Terri-Lynn), Courtney Winsor (Daniel Sharpe), RJ Winsor, Mariah Butt (Mike Hogan), Creston Wimbleton and Carter Wimbleton; great grandchildren – Chloe and Brayden Wimbleton and Nathan and Andrew Sharpe; siblings – Olive Burton (Hedley), Ruby Verge (Woodrow), Ivy Cooper (Robert); siblings in law – John Budgell, Ford Ward (Phyllis), Garland (Triffie), Hilda Clarke (Hubert), Cora Fowler, Cecil Ward (Sandra), Beatrice Ward, Bernice Green (Donn); many nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and special friends.
Funeral Arrangement details will be announced as they become available.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.

    We are sorry to hear of Roy’s passing it was such wonderful news to hear that he had given his heart to the Lord. The last time I saw Roy was in 2015 when we were home for my brother Roy’s funeral. We have that glorious hope of one day meeting again.
    May God give you the strength you need at this time.
