Yanke, Rosie
passed away peacefully with family by her side at her home at Highview Residences on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 95. Rosie passed away holding the hand of her beloved husband Ronnie. Predeceased by her sisters Hilda, Irma and Maria and brothers-in-law Henry (Helen), Ludwig (Inge), Bernie, Bruno and Annelie (Werner). Survived by her sisters-in-law Katie and Charlotte (Conrad). Fondly remembered by her nephew Danny Roethel and all the rest of her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to Ronnie, Rosie loved to garden, host family gatherings and feed stray cats. Rain, shine or snow she was always at Ronnie’s side building a successful farming business. A woman of many talents, she was as successful at hair dressing as she was at pig farming. She is loved for her tenacity, fierce determination and gracious love.
Rosie’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener. Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Please note that if you plan to attend the visitation or the service, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467.
