ROSEN Anne Irene —

ROSEN, Anne Irene

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anne Irene Elizabeth Rosen on January 28, 2021 at age 87. Anne was born on October 7, 1933 in Craigellachie B.C. (home of the last spike for the CPP Railway). She is survived by her loving husband George, three sons: Gary in Calgary, Douglas and Patrick both in Kelowna, her brother Bill in Revelstoke B.C, and two grandchildren in Kelowna Enzo and Giorgia. Anne was predeceased by her parents Anton and Mary Straga and her sister Mary.
Anne worked in the Sears cafeteria for many years when orchard park first opened and then at The Bay cafeteria until she retired in 1998. She made many friends while working there throughout the years. Anne attended St. Theresa’s Parish for many years and was a CWL member since 2008.
We came to Kelowna from North Surrey in 1964 and lived in Rutland. We lived at the Village at Mill Creek since 2015 and would like to thank all of the wonderful staff for their care for Anne for her last years.
Due to Covid-19, a private Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christie, and Anne will be laid to rest at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southern Interior Cancer Centre.
