It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rose Margaret Gauthier of Red Deer, Alberta, at the Villa Marie on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 97 years. Rose was born on October 21, 1923 in Berdenave, Alberta to Robert and Doris Rogerson. Rose married Edward Gauthier on January 12, 1943 and they had six children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting a lot in her retirement. She loved children. Rose was a friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved gardening. Throughout her life she lived in Ontario and Alberta and enjoyed travelling and visiting family when she could. We are all going to miss her. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marcel (Sylvia) Gauthier of Lacombe, Alberta and Doris (Charles) Petersen of Red Deer, Alberta; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Edward; two daughters, Rose and Delia; two sons, David and Leslie; her parents, Robert and Doris; two brothers and two sisters. An Interment will be held at a later date at the Big Valley Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations in Rose’s honor may be made directly to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
