ILL, Rose:
Passed away peacefully, October 7, 2021, at Alexander Place, Waterdown at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph ILL (1995).
Loving mother of Rosemary (Vincent) Mauceri and the late Ronald ILL (2015). Rose will be missed and remembered by her daughter-in-law Lorna ILL.
Cherished grandmother of Olivia (Matt) and Monica (Chigo). Great-grandmother to Uzoma Peter.
Rose is survived by her husband Joseph’s family.
Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Schaffner, and her brothers, Anton, Joseph (Anna) and Franz Schaffner.
Rose was a former member of St. Aloysius Church, St. Mary’s Church and the Einichkeit Club. Rose and Joseph enjoyed socializing at the Schwaben and Concordia Clubs.
Rose’s family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 12:30 p.m.- 1:10 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
A liturgy service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. following by interment in the family plot at Woodland Cemetery.
Following the interment, everyone is welcome to join the family for a reception.
Masks are mandatory to attend the visitation and liturgy service. Please use the funeral home to RSVP to the visitation, liturgy service and reception.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
