Obituary of Ronald Tackaberry
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Ronald, at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 79. He touched more people than he knew and will be greatly missed by his sons Shawn (Emily), Darcy (Lyse), Jason and his granddaughter, Veronica. Ron spent much of his life in Sault Ste. Marie as the electronics teacher at Korah Collegiate, inspiring many students. Throughout his life he was interested in the latest technologies and enjoyed pushing the edges of his creativity. Always willing to lend a hand, even during his short stay at Pathways the residents and staff looked to him to help with technical issues and Dad even participated with the compilation of a book of memories and recipes for the residents and their families. He also brought his passion for technology to Pathways, where the staff would refer to his room as the CIA room, decked out with his Flight Simulator and colourful lights. As per Dad’s wishes there will be no service and cremation has already taken place. A heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Pathways Retirement Residence. You made him feel welcome and he really enjoyed his stay there. We would also like to thank the compassionate staff at the Sault Area Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
