Ronald Beverley Shinnie 1937 2021

Obituary of Ronald Beverley Shinnie
Ron passed away in the early hours of Thursday, May 13, 2021, peacefully at home at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Left to cherish Ron’s memory are his loving wife, Marlene; daughters Glenna (Tony), Nancy (Len) and Kelley (Garth); grandchildren Ryan (Tabitha), Angela (Jamie), Melissa (Jarvis), Justin (Ashley), Ryley and Corbin (Madison); and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Josephine; brother John David (Helen); sisters-in-law Shirley, Dianne (Ed), Joan (Pete), Marilyn; and brother-in-law Leon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Ron was predeceased by his son Doug; parents Douglas and Dorothy; and brother Bob.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, Ron was always hard working and willing to lend a hand. He was a successful businessman in the automotive industry for many years. He was always known to brighten someone’s day with a joke or witty comment and enjoyed spending quality time with his family, camping. His sense of humour and musical spirit will be missed. When asked how he was, Ron was commonly overheard saying a quick response of “I’m sick in bed, I need a nurse!”
At Ron’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. A Private Family Interment and Celebration of Life will commence at a later date. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Regina Humane Society. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Blignaut, Palliative Home Care nurses and support staff.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ronald
