Ronald’s Obituary
FEENER, Ronald Lamont ~ age 84 of New Albany, NS, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in New Albany, NS he was a loving devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend to many people. Ron had a love of nature, animals, cats, gardening, fishing, music, trains and telling a good story. He will be missed by many for his incredible kindness, quiet way and sharing of his talents as a guitar, bango and mandolin player. Ron always gave as much time as someone else needed and put the needs of others ahead of his own. He was the son of Ernest and Emma (Varner) Feener and survived by his loving sister, Shirley Somers, Eastern Passage and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Ron was predeceased by his brothers: Carl, Cecil, James, Mervin, Doug, Roy and a brother in infancy and well as sisters: Verna Whynot, Ruby Embrett and Joan Gaul. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff of the Heart of Valley for their constant care of Ron over the last 10 months, it made the COVID restrictions bearable for everyone. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date when we can all gather together. Donations may be made in his memory to the Albany Community Church Society or the Middleton Railway Museum Society.
