SAMPSON, RONALD CHARLES Passed away peacefully in Melville Lodge on December 7, 2021, just short of his 90th birthday. Ron was the only son of Charles and Alice (Fraser) Sampson. Ron spent most of his life in Dartmouth until he and his wife, Gwen relocated to Gaetz Brook, Nova Scotia in 1986.
Ron worked for Maritime Tel and Tel / Bell Aliant retiring in 1988. He was an avid outdoorsman all his life, enjoying boating, fishing, hunting and he shared these outdoor activities with his good friends and family. Ron was predeceased by his parents, his sister Delores Beresford Green, and recently in October, 2021 by his wife Gwendolyn. He is survived by nieces Janis (Jim Ritcey), Lisa Parsons; nephews Gregory Parsons, Paul (Katie) Gowan and Danny Gowan. Also left to mourn are great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bouzane, Stephanie Sutherland, Gillian Parsons, Ben and Ian Parsons, Liam Gowan, Melissa Riley, Shauna Krasuski and Johnathan Parsons, as well as great-great nephews Mathew Riley, Jacob Riley and Luke Bouzane.
Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
